I REALLY like the way this one turned out, sort of (but not quite) like the official style used for generations 1 & 2.
Trivia: the design originally called for an invisible shrew, but after much deliberation and practice I realised that I can't draw shrews .
Trivia 2: The Galago is a kind of Lemur/prosimian. the word 'lemur' is derived from the Roman 'lemures', which roughly translates as 'spirit'. Juicy wordplay like this is what keeps me making these.
ah, a very intesresting play on words indeed, excellent design once again

I just read the comments, and I noticed something:
Bushbabies/Galagos actually aren't a type of Lemur. They are prosimians, like Lemurs, but are not Lemurs. :B
Also, lemures would translate as just 'spirit' or 'ghost', not evil spirit. ^^
They didn't think Lemurs were evil when they were discovered, but the reflective eyes of the nocturnal species, and the howls of the Indris (along with the sounds some other lemurs, such as the ring-tailed, make) made them think they were ghosts or spirits. The only Lemur that was believed to be evil (although only by the natives) is the Aye-Aye.
Just thought I'd share that with you! xB

True, but I decided to call them lemurs for the sake of simplicity.
(I think I'll change the 'evil spirit' bit however)
Anyway, thanks for commenting and loving the design!
Hrm, I have a galaghost too - created it about 10 years ago and recently resurrected it. When I saw yours, I thought you'd copied my idea but yours looks nothing like mine so I'm guessing its a case of punnish name being too obvious! Anyhow, I'm still going to call mine galaghost, but I thought I'd message you here so that you'd know I wasn't copying you should you inadveriently stumble upon mine.

Extremely coincidental! I'll be sure to check yours out too. I'm also getting started on redesigning all of mine, so I now have an opportunity to think of a less obviously punnish name.
Well, I wouldn't have thought it was that obvious - but there ye go, eh? I guess great minds, right? I've just completed the "upgraded" version. A vast improvement over the original, I reckon. It's in my gallery. Or will be shortly.

Don't think this is just another news article with the usual love deviations that have already hundreds of favorites! All of these deviations don't have even 100 favorites & they're the best!
Please watch them closely and show your appreciation! @
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
